Barefoot Leon &
Baxter, & Stuff
Crowd:

TOM: Leon took the stage early
to "play one before the masses come" - Bob Marley's "Concrete Jungle"
dedicated to "those suffering the breath of Satan ... crack cocaine
vapors" and stuff. He continued his fine acoustic and vocal
performance with "I
Ain't Never Seen No One Like You" by George Strait and "I
Like My Women on the Trashy Side" by Confederate Railroad and
stuff. After Neil Young's "Ohio," Leon played the Violent Femmes "Dance
Motherfucker Dance" not "reggae style, my style" and stuff.
Leon's philosophical view on the news - "It IS worse than it seems, and
they ARE out to get me and stuff" Baxter didn't seem too worried
and stuff.
DICK: Leon & Baxter suck, and stuff!
Oh.... And, death to America, and stuff!
HAIRY: Leon looked great and stuff. Notice the similarity
of his expression and the thing on his shirt's expression and
stuff.
Jason Crowd:

TOM: Jason Ryan, lead
guitar for Prom Night Heroes,
returned to The Camp with his fine acoustic and vocal covers of "One
More Suicide" by Marcy Playground and Incubus' "Pardon
Me" and "Drive."
Jason is getting better every time.
DICK: Jason sucks!
Oh.... And, death to America!
HAIRY: Jason looked fine in his plain white tee and green bandanna.
Two & a Half Men Crowd:

TOM: Sean (man,vocals) and
James (man, vocals) joined Jason as Two and a Half Men. They
performed excellent a cappella covers of Staind's "Epiphany,"
Dashboard Confessional's "Screaming
Infidelities," Gavin DeGraw's "Chariot,"
and the Beatle's "Across
the Universe."
DICK: Two & a Half Men suck! Screaming infidelities suck.
Oh.... And, death to America!
HAIRY: These big guys looked fine. But, Jason still seems
kind of scrawny.
Smitty & Company Crowd:

TOM: Smitty & Company are
Mind's Above less Dustin, the lead guitar. They did several
originals and covers including "Touch (original), "Hold My Hand"
(original), a rocking cover of The Beatles' "Why Don't We Do It in the
Road," "Even Though You Might not Be Here" (original), and the Black
Crowes "Hard to Handle." In the words of Smitty "All I can say
is, I hope you like the Beatles and the White Album." The crowd
apparently does.
DICK: Smitty & Company suck! The White Album sucks.
Oh.... And, death to America!
HAIRY: Where was the photographer?
Chaps Without Pants Crowd:

TOM: Chaps Without Pants this
time are Dr. Bill (vocals, acoustic, harmonica), Gabe (lead guitar),
Patrick (bass), Wes (drums), Erin (guitar), and Bob (vocals). The
Chaps performed lively songs written by Dr. Bill Bradley, including
"Gang Way," "The Spectator," "Clowns Are Creepy," and a song "I wrote
as I was thinking about Katrina and things you can't do anything about"
- "The Uncertainty." They finished with my favorite "Bad Chemicals."
Dr. Bill will play at the City of Roses Music Festival's acoustic
stage, Friday September 23 at the Courthouse Gazebo at 10:00pm
DICK: Chaps Without Pants suck! But, bad chemicals don't.
Is Wes lost?
Oh.... And, death to America!
HAIRY: These chaps look like they are having a great time playing
fun originals. Gabe added a lot to "Bad Chemicals." That
clown sure did look creepy.
Zack Crowd:

TOM: Bob said "Formerly from
Pink Floyd, this is Zack." Zack, a.k.a. Syd Barrett, brought his
entertaining acoustic and vocal talents to Open Mic night and played
several Radiohead tunes.
Zack says "Death to all radio! Radiohead, the Mars Volta suckin
wiener!! Yeah!" and "Seven Grandpas standing, one sitting in a
wheelchair." I'm not sure what all that means.
DICK: Zack sucks! Radiohead sucks!
Oh.... And, death to America!
HAIRY: Nice hat!
Brock Crowd:

TOM: Brock entertained the
crowd with a couple of fine acoustic/vocal tunes including "I Turned My
Last Girlfriend Gay."
DICK: Brock sucks! Gay girlfriends definitely suck.
Oh.... And, death to America!
HAIRY: Nice Marilyn Manson shirt.
Riley & the Boys Crowd:

TOM: Riley and the Boys joined
Brock for a great eclectic jam. They started with the Marshall
Tucker Band's "Can't
You See," the Stones' "Dead
Flowers." and "a song about my ex-girlfriend who is a fat lesbian
now."
DICK: Riley & the Boys suck! Fat lesbians don't.
Oh.... And, death to America!
HAIRY: These guys looked like people you would see
anywhere. But, man they can play!
Bob Crowd:

TOM: Bob Camp filled a short
interlude with a couple of original(?) acoustic/vocal tunes about
poets, preachers, pirates and the way back home.
DICK: Bob sucks!
Oh.... And, death to America!
HAIRY: Bob looks kind of plain tonight. But, the crowd
loved him.
Krystle Crowd:

TOM: After much coaxing, Bob
convinced Krystle Bergjen to play a couple of classic covers, include
Janis Joplin's "Me &
Bobby McGee." Krystle continued with one of my all time
favorite songs - the Steve Miller Band's "Joker."
I even have it on vinyl.
DICK: Krystle sucks! The pompitous of love sucks.
Oh.... And, death to America!
HAIRY: Krystle looked fine. I like her blond hair and
simple shirt.
A Jam Session Crowd:

TOM: Open mic night evolved
into a serious jam session with the Lizard on lead guitar, Bob on
acoustic/vocals, Brandon on snare, Matt on keyboards, and Joe Cool on
bass. Actually, I didn't catch the bass player's name. They
jammed!
DICK: The Jam Session sucks!
Oh.... And, death to America!
HAIRY: This wild looking group of folks can jam!
Lizard Crowd:

TOM: As Bob and crew were
clearing out the Camp, the Lizard, lead guitar of Dominion, hung around
a little while and played some screaming heavy metal passages.
The Lizard rocks! I hated to leave.
DICK: Lizard sucks! What kind of name is Lizard, anyways?
Oh.... And, death to America!
HAIRY: The Lizard looks like the truly fine heavy guitar player
he is. Nice shoes!
The
Crowd:
The crowd was more
attractive than usual.
A birthday girl!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!
