Swan
& Oaks Crowd:

TOM: Jerry Swan & Matt Oaks are Swan &
Oaks. Both
provided acoustic guitar and vocals on some of the finest
classical
bluegrass
pickin' I've heard around these parts. They performed some
Graham
Parson, a little waltz, "Knocking on Heaven's Door," and a fine
original.
DICK:
Swan & Oaks
suck! They're not Phil Oaks & Billie Swan.
Oh.... And, death to America!
HAIRY: These guys made an impression. It's hard to forget the
tie-dyed shirt and shoes that looked like Baxter's eyes.
Sykes
& Sykes Crowd:

TOM: Darren Sykes, of Sykes & Hooker, and his wife
Nicole
impressed the crowd with fine covers of Cindy Lauper's "Time After
Time" and the Indigo Girls' "Closer to Fine." Bob joined in
on
snare.
DICK:
Sykes & Sykes
suck! But, at least Darren left the Hooker at home and
brought
his wife.
Oh.... And, death to America!
HAIRY: These folks look like someone you might meet on the
street
or at work. But, they can produce some fine sounds!
Krystal
Bergjans Crowd:

TOM: Krystal Bergjans wowed the crowd with wonderful acoustic
and
vocal covers of a couple of great songs - The Beatles' "Blackbird" and
Joplin's "Me and Bobby McGee." She dedicated one for Jason,
"cause he's a pain in my ass." Krystal said "I just came to
hang
out. But, they made me play. I love Bob!"
The crowd
loved her.
DICK:
Krystal Bergjans
sucks! Blackbirds suck!
Oh.... And, death to America!
HAIRY: Krystal looked fine. But, she needed something to make
her
stand out. Maybe a tattoo or a little skin.
Jeremy
Crowd:

TOM: Jeremy
Bratton http://yermej.dyndns.org
brought his tender and sincere covers of punk rock tunes to The Camp
again. He started with Depeche Mode's "Personal Jesus" and
continued with Lemonhead, Talking Head's "Psychokiller," Simon and
Garfunkel's "America," and Bjork's "Hyperballad." It was excellent!
DICK:
Jeremy
sucks! Punk rock is dead!
Oh.... And, death to America!
HAIRY: Jeremy looks like he needs a couple of scantily clad
gals
in the background shaking and dancing to his music. If
interested, please email Jeremy at yermej@gmail.com
Barefoot
Leon & Baxter Crowd:

TOM: Barefoot Leon brought his nifty acoustic guitar and
vocals
to The Camp. Leon started with "Stray Cat Strut" and a
twisted
cover of "House of the Rising Sun." It was the world premier
of
Leon's question - "What's So Funny about Peace, Love &
Understanding?" Jason joined on snare on Neil Young's "Ohio"
and
"Hey, Hey, My, My." Leon said "Baxter is a son of a bitch.
No,
really"
DICK:
Barefoot Leon
sucks! At least he wasn't dancing on the bar.
Oh.... And, death to America!
HAIRY: Leon looked nifty in his Leon Russell t-shirt.
Two
& a Half Men Crowd:

TOM: Two and a Half Men
are Sean (man, vocals), James (man, vocals), and Jason (acoustic
guitar, vocals).
Their cover of Staind's "Epiphany"
was incredible. After another cover, Incubus' "I'll Be There," they
continued with Prom Night
Heroes' "Enjoy the
Rain." Jason continued with a solo cover
of Gavin Degraw's "Chariot." Jason says "I'm either getting
better or worse every week. But, at least I'm progressing one
way
or the other." The crowd says "better."
DICK:
Two & a Half
Men
suck!
Oh.... And, death to America!
HAIRY: These guys look cool. But, Jason needs some shorts and
a
100 pounds or so.
Gabe
Crowd:

TOM: Gabe brought his great screaming, guitar bangin' act to
The
Camp for several unique covers, including The Who's "The Real Me" and a
Neil Young tune. Gabe puts on a real show!
DICK:
Gabe
sucks! The Who suck!
Oh.... And, death to America!
HAIRY: Gabe looked like he really enjoyed playing.
But, he
could use some wardrobe help.
Chaps
Without Pants Crowd:

TOM: Chaps Without Pants this time are Doctor Bill
(acoustic,
vocals), Pat (bass), Gabe (lead), Jason (snare), and George
(bongos). They performed original songs of Dr. Bill,
including
"Last Will and Testament of Dr. Bill," "The uncertainty," "Clowns are
Creepy," and "Life's a Bitch." Erin (acoustic, vocals) and Bob (vocals)
joined on a hopping redone version of "Bad Chemicals" for "all those
people who love those synthetic things. It can only be done
with
Erin joining in. Gabe was a maniac and took the songs to a
higher
level." Dr. Bill continues "Come back Erin. We love and miss
you. I miss my cowboy hat. Thanks Danny for the
website
reviews. You suck! And, death to
America."
DICK:
Chaps Without Pants
suck! Hey! Those are my lines!
Oh.... And, death to America!
HAIRY: These guys looked like they were having a great time
playing. A good time was had by all.
Akira
& George Crowd:

TOM: Akira & George took the stage with a little help
from
Bob for some real smooth tunes, kind of like Lawrence Welk. I
didn't catch the names of the songs. But, they were most
excellent.
DICK:
Akira & George
suck! Lawrence Welk sucks!
Oh.... And, death to America!
HAIRY: These guys looked cool. I like Akira's
trademark
headwear and George's flag.
Halleblujah
Singers Crowd:

TOM: A whole crowd of musicians joined Akira and George for
an
incredible jam session as the Halleblujah Singers. It was
Jen,
Danetta, Bob, and Baxter on vocals, Wes on bass, Leon and Matt on
gourd. After a bluesy "It's Your Thang," they did a freestyle
medley including parts of "Gloria," "On Broadway," and "Sing &
Shout." The Singers continued the amazing jams with "Will You
Love Me Tomorrow?," Bob's original "The Church," and "I'll be down so
long." Jen & Danetta's fantastic bluesy voices on "Baby Yo Man"
and
"Stray Cat Strut" must be heard to really appreciate.
Wow!
DICK:
The
Halleblujah Singers suck! No. I had to say
that. But, really, they jam!
Oh.... And, death to America!
I just had to say that,
too.
HAIRY: Every one of these folks looked great, especially Jen
and
Danetta. They look as good as they sound.

Hell. This IS
Missouri.

Everyone looks up to Bob!

Erin, Our friendly photographer.

Check out the smiles!

Wow! I'm on a shirt!

A deep conversation.

Sometimes, Baxter likes to watch the crowd.

Service with a smile!

Dancin' on the bar!

It was a very friendly crowd.

Mandolins and attitude...
Are these guys giving the bird?

The evil eyed table drummer.
A
note to the crowd
from
Dick:
What
in the name of Allah is wrong with you people in Cape
Girardeau? This is
some of the best music you could ever hope to hear, especially the jam
sessions at the end of the night. But, by then almost
everyone
has left. You should stay and enjoy the music!
You're
missing the best part!
