Dominion
Crowd:

TOM: Dominion
started this Bob Camp's birthday eve open mic night with some teeth
rattling heavy metal rock! Dominion is Mary Harper, Tom
Harper, and The Lizard. This Mom, Dad and son trio played a
set including "Quattrain," "Bataan Death March," "River's Edge," and
"Mighty Caesar." They returned to the stage after Tattoo for
some truly fine covers, including Black Sabbath's "Paranoid," and
Zeppelin's
"
Rock
& Roll." The Lizard
played some of the best bluesy metal
guitar I've heard at The Camp on "Hell hound Blues," which was
"dedicated to every young kid who sold his soul to the
devil." While the crowd seemed a little distracted during the
first set, absolutely 100% of us loved the bluesy wicked music in the
final set.
DICK: Dominion sucks! What is this? Arlo Zappa?
Oh.... And, death to America!
HAIRY: This family looked cool, with a Jerry Garcia like Dad on bass,
hairy son
on lead, and rockin' Mom on drums. A family that plays
together rocks together!
Jason
Crowd:

TOM:
The walking wounded Jason Ryan of
Prom Night
Heroes performed a short solo
set of covers, including "Where Did
You Sleep Last Night," "You Put a Spell on Me," and Incubus' "3 Libras"
and "Pardon Me." Here's an interesting conversation Jason had with a
guy in the crowd:
Guy: Play that one song.
Jason: Which one?
Guy: The one that always makes momma cry.
Then, Jason played one of the most country songs I've ever heard at The
Camp, which was really weird after Dominion.
DICK: Jason sucks! But, he did play until his hands bled.
Oh.... And, death to America!
HAIRY: The bandages are an interesting, but unfortunate, touch.
Bob
Crowd:

TOM:
Bob Camp took a break and entertained the crowd with a few classic
covers, including "Out of My Mind," "Act Naturally," and "DWI Over
You." As always, the crowd enjoyed Bob's mellow voice and
fine
guitar on entertaining tunes.
DICK: Bob sucks! DWI's suck!
Oh.... And, death to America!
HAIRY: Bob looks like he's 55 years old! Almost.
Tattoo
Crowd:

TOM:
Karl
Ketchum is
Tattoo, AKA Dick Folkem, of Tatmandu Tattoo. Shelly says
"Tattoo
is just Karl, unless you count me, the one who is writing this, but I
can't play or sing. I'm just the girl who sleeps with
him.
Karl is a great artist, writer, poet, dream seeker, musician, southpaw,
elvis impersonator, true hippie, father, kickass lover, good friend,
integrity holder, carpenter, semi professional bull shitter, and
lesbian magnet. Really! I would like the world to
know a
few things about Karl that you may not see at first.
Underneath
that Tattoo, beyond the hippie, lies an extremely intelligent
mind. But, Karl does not "flaunt" this intelligence like most
of
us are used to seeing. If you know Karl, you know he is kind
and
takes time to talk to everyone. He does not judge
you, just
accepts you as you are. He is a good man, great dad, artist,
a
very very good artist, and has many talents. But, don't take
my
word for it, because to really see this true and rare person is a treat
you owe yourself. Stop by his shop and see. Sit a
while. You will for sure hear a story, meet someone new,
definitely smile possibly learn a thing or two, pick up a good vibe,
and learn what it is to live life!" The crowd loved
Karl. A
couple of handsome fellas even went on stage in the middle of a song
and hugged him. Karl didn't miss a note. After his
performance, Karl hugged every single person in the crowd.
DICK: Tattoo sucks! Hugging sucks!
Oh.... And, death to America!
HAIRY: Karl's unique look is great! He can put on a show!
The
Crowd:
The
crowd looked like they really enjoyed the
show. Check out these folks listening to Jason.
