Bob
Crowd:

TOM: Bob Camp started Open Mic night with with The Kinks' "A
Well
Respected Man" and a couple of originals - "Crazy Mind" and "The
Voice." Jason Ryan of Prom
Night
Heroes joined on guitar in "Under
the Milky Way" by The
Church. Scott Ryan joined on vocals for
a laid back white rap that was simply amazing.
DICK: Bob sucks! He must've been having a thought
about old
age.
Oh.... And, death to America!
HAIRY: Bob looked cool in his Hempies shirt.
The
Ryan Brothers Crowd:

TOM: Bob returned to work while Scott (vocals, acoustic
guitar)and Jason Ryan (lead guitar) continued with Pink Floyd's "Wish
You Were Here." Scott's vocals are getting better all the
time. Jason performed a solo - Incubus' "Pardon Me" - while
Scott
got out his bass for an excellent cover of Sublime's "Santeria."
DICK: The Ryan Brothers suck! This isn't Hazard
County.
Oh.... And, death to America!
HAIRY: Scott was kind of like someone out of Dukes of Hazard
with
his straw hat and facial hair. Jason looked nifty in his
green
bandanna. I can't decide if these guys look like hicks or
pros!
Chris
Crowd:

TOM: Chris Gunter brought his wonderful voice and acoustic guitar to
The Camp to perform well polished original songs, including "Blacklight
Rain." Chris and Jeremy Gunter are Shadow Thieves™,
whose
debut CD "Nocturne" is available at P-Mac Music. Shadow
Thieves™ will release a new CD this fall - "Framing the
Endless
Sky." Buy it! Chris says they are looking for a bass player.
DICK: Chris sucks! What kind of a name is Shadow
Thieves™ anyway?
Oh.... And, death to America!
HAIRY: Chris looked as good as he sounded with his ponytail,
nice
shirt, and goatee. Nice!
Jeremy
Crowd:

TOM: Jeremy
Bratton http://yermej.dyndns.org
returned to Open Mic night with his real mellow covers of punk rock
songs. Jeremy got into his groove with Johnny Cash &
Depeche Mode's "Personal Jesus," and continued with the Talking Heads'
"Don't Worry About the Government." His cover of Simon and
Garfunkel's "America" was awesome! Jeremy finished with
another
Talking Head's tune - "Naive Melody."
DICK: Jeremy sucks! You really must worry about the
government.
Oh.... And, death to America!
HAIRY: Jeremy looked comfortable, but a little like he just
got
off work. :)
Two
and a Half Men Crowd:

TOM: Two and a Half Men
are Sean (man, vocals), James (man, vocals), and Jason (acoustic
guitar, vocals) These two full-sized men sing a cappella covers of the
best songs out there
accompanied by a skinny, harmonizing member of Prom Night
Heroes. All are proud
members of Phi Mu Alpha.
They
started with a unique cover of Staind's "Epiphany" and continued with a
couple of tunes by Incubus
- "I'll Be There" and "Drive." They sounded great!
DICK: Two and a Half Men suck! Americans are way
too big.
Oh.... And, death to America!
HAIRY: These big guys looked wild with their white shirts,
shorts
and bald heads. Jason looked a little scrawny between them.
A
Pair to Draw To Crowd:

TOM: Dustin Sitzes & Ashley Irwin, of Roadside Memory
fame,
are A Pair to Draw To. Dustin added his accomplished lead
guitar
to Ashley's nifty vocals and acoustic on several songs written by
Ashley - "Fly Away (Disconnect)", "Nothing Inside," "Come Closer," and
"Render Null." They did one cover, too - Skid Row's "Eighteen and Life
to Go." These guys alone are reason enough to come to Open
Mic
night at The Camp! Ashley says ROCKOUT!
DICK: A Pair to Draw To sucks! Nobody does Skid Row
any
more.
Oh.... And, death to America!
HAIRY: Ashley looked great as always with her golden
tan.
Dustin looked like the great electric guitar player he is.
But,
after Two and a Half Men, he looks a little scrawny, too.
Jess
Crowd:

TOM: Jess Wells graced The Camp with his fine vocal and
acoustic
guitar covers of Beck songs from the Sea of Change, Odelay, and
Stereopathetic Soulmanure albums, including "Jack Ass," "The
Golden Age," and "Lost Cause." He finished with a Flaming
Lips
tune "Do You Realize?"
DICK: Jess sucks! Beck sucks!
Oh.... And, death to America!
HAIRY: Jess just looks like some scrawny guy off the street
who
can sing and play that guitar. He needs a hat.
Mojo
Heroes Crowd:

TOM: Jen Henderson and Josh Maxwell of Mojo Filter and Scott
and
Jason Ryan of Prom Night Heroes started a really cool set with Joan
Jett's "I love Rock and Roll." After a cry was made for a
drummer, Bob Camp quickly found a snare and cymbals, which he set up on
stage and proceeded to play, very well I might add. Mojo
Heroes
continued with Josh's screaming guitar on Jimmy's "The Sky is Crying."
Brandon Glenn filled in on drum on a Hootie and the Blowfish cover and
Ugly Kid Joe's "I Hate Everything About You." Patrick, the
lead
singer of Super Happy Intelligence Team (S.H.I.T) rotated in on drum
for a unique cover of Prom Night Heroes' "Enjoy the Rain."
Bob
pointed out that "We've got members of Prom Night Heroes, Mojo Filter,
and S.H.I.T sharing the stage on Open Mic Night." This
wonderful
party of musicians continued with a perfect cover of John Prine's
"Angel From Montgomery." It doesn't get any better than this!
Jen, Josh, the Ryans, and Bob continued with a bluesy "Will you Still
Love Me Tomorrow?" Kim Bowerman, a cute little hippie chick,
joined the crowd with her lovely vocals on Skynyrd's "Free
Bird."
The evening continued with a jam session which included odd lyrics like
"She pours my coffee and grinds my beans." That's
deep.
After "Baby Yo Man," it was time to
go home.
DICK: Mojo Heroes suck! What kind of names are Mojo
Heroes
and S.H.I.T? I guess they beat Corpse Vomit.
Oh.... And, death to America!
HAIRY: The gang looked like the talented musicians they
are. I liked Jen's, Josh's and Bob's wild shirts.
Kim
looked hotter than ever. Heck, Bob and Josh look kind of
scrawny
now, too. :)
The
crowd:
The
crowd seemed to really enjoy
the show. They appeared happier and better looking than
usual. Check out these smiles!
