Joshua  Crowd: DanDanDanDan

TOM:  Joshua Maxwell, lead guitar for Mojo Filter, started the show with some fantastic solo covers.  He started with Clapton's "Wonderful Tonight" and continued with "Watchtower" and "Little Wing" by Hendrix.  He had that acoustic guitar smoking!  Joshua played some Pearl Jam and the Black Crowes "She Talks to Angels."

DICK: Joshua sucks!  Burning guitars cause air pollution.
Oh.... And, death to America!

HAIRY:  Joshua is so damn talented he doesn't need his trademark hat and flying vee to put on a great show.
Smokin' acoustic?  Joshua

Bob  Crowd: DanDanDanDan

TOM:  Bob Camp played a couple of tunes while Aaron was getting ready.  His cover of REO Speedwagon's "Riding the Storm Out" and "Under the Milky Way" by the Church seemed like a Grub Brother's Band flashback.  Bob can put on a show!

DICK: Bob sucks!  Who's tending bar?
Oh.... And, death to America!

HAIRY:  Bob looked good, like he was having a good time.  The crowd enjoyed it.  Is that a dog in the cat box grin?

Aaron  Crowd: DanDanDanDan

TOM:  This is the first time I've seen Aaron Bentley at open mike night.  His acoustic guitar and sort of "grunting" vocals are unusual. Aaron played "Small Town Woman," "Restraining Order Blues," and Rancid's "Rats in the Hallway."  His show is like something you might see at a New York City poets night.

DICK: Aaron sucks!  If I wanted to hear grunting I'd go to the farm.
Oh.... And, death to America!

HAIRY:  Aaron's cool hat and Social Distortion tee complemented his unique performance.  Nice!
Aaron

Jason  Crowd: DanDanDanDan

TOM:  Jason Ryan returned to the Camp with acoustic and vocal solo covers of "Pardon Me" by Incubus and a couple of A Perfect Circle tunes "A Stranger" and "3  Libras." Jason says "Open mic night is the shiznit"  Jason switched to his electric guitar and was joined by his brother on acoustic for a fine cover of Pink Floyd's "Wish You Were Here."  I've always liked that tune.  Hell.  I had the 8-track tape!

DICK: Jason sucks!  He still has that Gomer Pyle hat.
Oh.... And, death to America!

HAIRY:  Jason looks like he's a kid having a great time.  Good show!
Jason  Scott

Leon  Crowd: DanDanDanDan

TOM:  Leon returned to the Camp for excellent acoustic and vocal covers of The Band's "The Weight" and the Ozark Mountain Daredevil's "Fly Away."  He continued with "4 Dead in Ohio" and the Marshall Tucker Band's "Fire On the Mountain."  Leon's got something up his sleeve.  Baxter and I hope it's a duet with a friend on Four Non Blondes covers.

DICK: Leon sucks!  I hate the Ozark Mountain Daredevils.
Oh.... And, death to America!

HAIRY:  It looks like pups are hiding behind Leon's nifty guitar!  Nice!

Chaps Without Pants  Crowd: DanDanDanDan

TOM:  Chaps Without Pants are Dr. Bill (vocals, acoustic, harmonica), Akira (lead guitar), Patrick (bass), and Jason (drums). They played an entertaining set of  original songs with amazing lyrics.  "Clowns are Creepy" and "She wiped her face and went insane" are a couple of examples.  Erin added vocal and guitar on "Bad Chemicals," a warped tune!

DICK: Chaps Without Pants suck!  All chemicals are bad.  Clowns suck.
Oh.... And, death to America!

HAIRY:  These chaps put on a show!  I like Dr. Bill's hat.  Jason looks good on drums.

Prom Night Heroes  Crowd: DanDanDanDan

TOM: Prom Night Heroes is Scott Ryan (vocals, bass), Jason Ryan (guitar, vocals) and Tommy Quaite (drums).  Scott said "We're just going to mess around and have some fun."  The Heroes started with a Coolio medley and REM's "It's the End of the World as We Know it."  After "Ain't Talking About Love," they did a couple of originals, including "Enjoy the Rain." Scott said "They are all originals.  But, they're just not by us."  Jason says "Tonight was a night that will live in infamy."

DICK: Prom Night Heroes suck!  Coolio sucks!
Oh.... And, death to America!

HAIRY:  These guys looked great.

Filter  Crowd: DanDanDanDan

TOM:  Filter is most of Mojo Filter plus a few friends.  The talented Joshua Maxwell (vocals, lead guitar, harmonica), Josh (drums), Wes Ables (bass), and Chris Beasley started with a couple of Hendrix tunes - "Voodoo Child" and "Red House."  Joshua just had to modify the lyrics of Ugly Kid Joe's "I Hate You" song to "I think sex is over rated, too -- not really!" The Ryans joined on the Black Crowes "Hard to Handle."  Then, Joshua added harmonica to the "Sandman Blues."  The crowd really enjoyed Beasley's vocals on "Let's Get Retarded."

DICK: Filter sucks!  Where's the Mojo?
Oh.... And, death to America!

HAIRY:  With three guitars, Josh's great drums, harmonica, and amazing vocals, It just doesn't matter what they look like.  Filter jams!
